UA Brokers Without Borders team participated in the seminar “Establishing a Support System: Assistance for Victims of Explosive Ordnance and Service Mapping,” held on August 6-7. The event was organized within the framework of the UNDP Ukraine / ПРООН в Україні project “Mine Action in Ukraine,” with financial support from the Government of Sweden.
Together with over 150 participants, we enhanced our understanding of service mapping and victim referral in communities, emphasized the need for accessible information on available services, and explored the basics of stress, trauma, PTSD, and their effects on victims and their families.
This vital knowledge will be essential as we gear up to launch our next project, supported by UNDP, to strengthen Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital and save patients' lives with mine-explosive polytraumas. We’ll be kicking off this project soon, so stay tuned!
